Certifying Body
In Michigan, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for the certification of CHWs in the state. This certification process is designed to standardize the qualifications of CHWs to ensure that they are adequately prepared to meet the community's health needs.
CHWs are encouraged to pursue training and professional development to enhance their competencies and service delivery.
The NCHW™ Registry recognizes the importance of these professional development opportunities and aims to connect Michigan CHWs with premier training options.
