Core Competency Requirements

Training or Experience

Demonstrate your expertise through a minimum of 8+ hours of training or 240+ hours of hands-on experience for each core competency.

Experiential Track

If you're applying based on experience, you'll need to present a cumulative total of at least 9,600 hours.

Documentation of Competence

Certification

Attach a copy of your State or Association CHW certification with your application.

Experience

Provide a detailed account of your relevant experience, including the total hours worked and a narrative explaining how your experience meets each competency standard.
