Terms and Conditions

Thank you for visiting and using the National Community Health Worker (NCHW) Registry (“the Registry”) website and NCHW Certification (“the Certification”) to enhance your professional development as a Community Health Worker (CHW). These Terms of Use outline the terms and conditions that govern your access to and use of the Certification. By accessing or using the Certification, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using the Certification.

Use of the NCHW™ Registry

The NCHW™ Registry is a comprehensive platform dedicated to supporting the professional development of Community Health Workers (CHWs) through accreditation, resources, and community engagement. Access to and use of the NCHW™ Registry are subject to the following terms and conditions.


Eligibility

To be eligible to register with the NCHW™ Registry, individuals must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Completion of a Nationally Aligned CHW Certification training program.
  • Demonstration of competence in the core competency areas of the NCHW™ Certification.
  • Compliance with any additional requirements or guidelines set forth by the NCHW™ Certification.

Experiential Pathway

CHWs who have acquired their expertise through significant work experience may qualify for registration through the Experiential Pathway by demonstrating:

  • A minimum number of years of CHW experience.
  • Evidence of accomplishments and proficiency in the field.
  • Any relevant certifications acquired throughout their career.

Certification Process

Individuals who meet the above requirements are entitled to NCHW™ Certification and may register in the NCHW™ Registry.


Intellectual Property Rights

The intellectual property of the NCHW™ Registry is protected by law and includes all content within the Certification and associated materials. Reproduction, modification, or distribution without permission is prohibited.


User Conduct

Registered users must uphold the integrity of the CHW profession in their interactions and use of the Registry. The NCHW™ Registry reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these principles.


Account Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account information. The NCHW™ Registry is not responsible for any unauthorized use of your account.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The NCHW™ Registry does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of the information provided and is not responsible for any errors or omissions.


Limitation of Liability

The NCHW™ Registry is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Registry or Certification.


Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the NCHW™ is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.


Feedback and Submissions

Feedback and submissions provided to the NCHW™ Registry become its property and may be used without obligation to the user.

Dispute Resolution

Prior to any legal action, users agree to seek resolution through mediation or arbitration as determined by the NCHW™ Registry.


Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify the NCHW™ Registry from any claims arising from misuse of the service.


Accessibility

The NCHW™ Registry is committed to ensuring accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities.


Reporting Misconduct

Users can report inappropriate behavior or content via info@chwregistry.com.


Force Majeure

The NCHW™ Registry is not responsible for failure to fulfill obligations due to causes beyond its control.

Please note that although NCHW training affiliates encourage and/or include NACHW memberships to support the workforce nationally, this does not imply an endorsement from NACHW or affiliation. The NCHW™ Registry reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, with changes taking effect upon posting.
