Certifying Body In Development
In Ohio, the Ohio Board of Nursing is responsible for the certification of CHWs in the state. This certification process is designed to standardize the qualifications of CHWs to ensure that they are adequately prepared to meet the community's health needs.
Certification Requirements
To become certified in Ohio, CHWs must:
Complete an approved training program.
Meet all the additional requirements set by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Submit an online application for certification.
CHWs are encouraged to pursue training and professional development to enhance their competencies and service delivery.
